Reminder of the ALL Athletic Peach Fundraiser coming up

Dear Parents of FRCS Athletes,

Welcome to Front Range Christian Athletics. At FRCS Athletics we have two major fundraisers (one through athletics and one through Falcon Club) to help supplement expenses that we do not get through the athletic fee. Especially now that official fees are skyrocketing. For example, to pay football officials for only one varsity home game will be around $625 or to pay soccer officials for one varsity and one JV home game will be around $490 or for volleyball to pay officials for only one varsity, JV and C home game it is going to be around $635. The athletic fee that is paid at the beginning of the sport season goes directly into the individual sports account and helps to pay for officials, tournaments, van gas/upkeep, equipment, senior games, banquets, game balls, uniforms, coach’s stipends and so much more. Generally, athletic fees do not cover the whole season, which is where this Athletic Fundraiser comes into help (one through athletics and one through Falcon Club). The general athletic account will help make up for the financial shortcomings of all sports programs here at FRCS, but only with these fundraisers and everyone’s participation. The help from this fundraiser has helped athletics tremendously with making sure all varsity head coaches get a stipend, if they want one.

The first of these fundraisers will be the Peach Fundraiser (through athletics), and the second will be a Golf Fundraiser (through the Falcon Club). The Golf Fundraiser is coming up on September 16. If you’re new to FRCS or the Peach Fundraiser, these are peaches from C&R Farms in Palisade, CO which are delicious and are very easy to sell. Most people that have sold them in the past already have standing orders because people remember them and want more. We usually do very well with this fundraiser and have generally pocketed $15,000-$20,000 from this fundraiser alone.

The Peach Fundraiser is REQUIRED for all High School and Middle School FRCS athletes, no matter the season they are participating.

The fundraiser begins whenever you want to start selling Peaches. Order forms are available in the Athletic Building, or a digital form will be attached to this email. Since we had such a warm winter the peaches were sped up and so the delivery date is earlier than it has been in the past. Please note this. The delivery date of the peaches is Saturday, August 15 (before schools officially start). This means that the drop-off date for money and forms is earlier. The date for forms and money is Wednesday, August 5. See more below.

Order form and money in envelopes need to be turned in on Wednesday, August 5 between 7:30am-9am or 3-4:30pm. The money and forms will be collected in the Athletic Building. Please bring completed forms and money in an envelope. All checks need to be made out to FRCS. Please plan to wait until money is counted and matched with peach sales. We need 2-4 people to assist with the money collection on Wednesday, August 5 from 7:30-9am and then 3-4:30pm. Please let me know if you are available to help. THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO ORDER PEACHES.

Peaches will be delivered at FRCS for pick up on Saturday, August 15, between 8am-10am. If you are unable to pick up peaches at that time, please arrange for another family to pick up your order, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO

HOLD PEACHES FOR YOU. We will need 10-15 people and/or student athletes to help load into vehicles during pickup. Please let me know if you are available to help.

The farm has done a great job of keeping their prices down, so we do not need to raise prices this year, they will stay the same as last year:

Peaches sell for:

18-pound box-$45

9-pound box-$35

Checks need to be made out to FRCS.

Our profit is around $14-$18 per box. Each player needs to sell a minimum of 8 boxes. If you have multiple FRCS athletes in your home, then here is the breakdown of the minimum that needs to be sold: 2 athletes from the same family 12 boxes, 3 athletes from the same family 16 boxes, 4 or more athletes from the same family 20 boxes. This can be any combination of box sizes of peaches.

Athletes and families have the option to opt out of selling peaches by donating $150 to Athletics per student athlete. A donation for the peach sales with the money is due on Wednesday, August 5 between 7:30am-9am or 3-4:30pm at the Athletic Building. Per FRCS handbook, players are not allowed to approach school staff to support fundraisers. There is a link in the FRCS Times that suggests school staff/families contact players on the team if they want to purchase peaches.

Thanks,
